Welcome! Please make yourself "at home" here. We are an Orthodox Christian family living in the intersection of (a clumsily lived) Orthodox life, homesteading and homeschooling. So while masala chai and prayer ropes might look disconnected on the surface, they are, in fact, deeply interrelated. Our name, referring to the Most Holy Theotokos, the Mother of us all, is a humble, reverent nod in thanksgiving. It's a long story, but the Theotokos sold our suburban home and brought us our homestead. It is my belief, since there are no wild roses anywhere near us (I looked), that she planted the wild roses that sprang up right after we moved in. It is with deep gratitude that I name this entire effort in her honor. Pour a mug of your favorite warming beverage, pull up a chair, and stay a while.
